The region of Puglia is known for many things: juicy burrata, aperitivo-staple taralli, nonnas rolling orecchiette on the street, white trulli houses, rustic farmhouses, sandy beaches, and endless rows of ancient olive trees. But Italy’s heel is much bigger than you might expect. With 257 municipalities, Puglia is a laid-back place made for wandering. You can jump in a car, drive in any direction, and find yourself in yet another unique town.
To celebrate our wedding, we’re gathering our loved ones in one of these magical places: Ostuni.
Perched on a hilltop, Ostuni’s whitewashed houses and twisting alleys give it a captivating character. Its Greek and Middle Eastern influences lend it the nickname La Città Bianca – The White City.
For us, Ostuni is a reminder of the beauty in simplicity and the power of places untouched by time – where everything feels effortlessly meaningful.

How to get there
ARRIVAL
Brindisi Airport (BDS): Closest airport to Ostuni, 48 km away and approximately 40 minutes by car.
Bari Airport (BRI): Larger airport with more frequent and varied flights from major cities, 90 km away and approximately 1 hour by car.
By train: Ostuni has a train station about 3 km outside the city center, with connections to Bari, Lecce, and Brindisi. From the station, you can grab a taxi or a local bus up to the historic center; however, a rental car is still highly recommended for any amount of time spent in Puglia.
CAR RENTAL
We recommend renting a car during your stay in Ostuni. The town and surrounding countryside are quite spread out, and public transport and taxis (including Uber) are limited, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Having a car will make it much easier to reach your accommodation and explore the area.
Some of the well-known car rental providers based at or near the airports include Avis, Hertz, Sixt, Europcar, Budget, Locauto Rent, Sicily By Car, and Maggiore.
Where to stay
There are two main approaches to staying in Ostuni. The first option is to stay in or near the Centro Storico (Old Town), which offers charming streets, walkable dining, and beautiful views. The second option is to stay in the surrounding countryside at Masserias (traditional Italian farmhouses) or in a private vacation rental.
There are many accommodation options available on Booking.com and Airbnb, which we encourage you to explore.
OLD TOWN OF OSTUNI
CLOSER TO THE BEACH
There are several beautiful Masserias and countryside accommodations in the surrounding area. We recommend choosing one based on how far you are comfortable driving.
MASSERIAS AND COUNTRYSIDE STAYS
Transportation will be provided from Ostuni Old Town to Masseria Le Carrube following the church ceremony, with return transportation available after the reception to Ostuni Old Town.
